In honor of 9/11
Whenever I hear of people dying, I first think of the mother, the father, the brother, the sister, the grandmother, the grandfather, and the uncle or aunt first. How they feel about losing someone they love.
Is that bad?I dwell on the past, and sometimes I don't think it's worth it. Sometimes we dwell more often on the bad parts of our life than the good.
Am I an awful person because if it?Labels: Just Writing
Confused & bored. All these= very bored, and frustrated. Ahhh! Gotta find something to do, I know! I'll listen to music. I've been doing that very often lately, other than reading. Right now I'm reading Nance Drew, very interesting (also scary). I'm running out if things to listen to. Any suggestions, I gotta search for Switchfoot and other stuff.

Friends.
Bored. VERY VERY VERY BORED. So I'll write. Nothing to write about though. Well, lately I've been thankful for all the friends that I have. So here:
Abby:You rule. I'll never forget how many times we've talked, laughed and just hung out together. You are just...wow. I don't even know how to describe you. You're just amazing.
Piying: Same. You rock. You're the sweetest, most cheer-up-est person I've ever met. You have your quirks, true. But they're what make you Piying.
Natalie:Most encouraging, and faithful friend ever. No matter how many times I've been annoying or have bugged you, you still hang out with me. BTW, your singing rocks.
Nicole:Ditto. We can sometimes have our spats, but you are still a totally dear friend. And your dancing is super good...
Dorathea:I dunno if you read my blog but, I gotta write this. You are the nicest, most caring person I've met. No matter how many times I've bugged you with smses and stuff, you still stick by me. You are a real BRIO girl.
Huiting:Totally encouraging in every situation. And always have shown wisdom no matter what, you are COOL. Ice cold.
Persis:Also, dunno if you read my blog. But, whatever. During 2008 'You' camp, I got to know you more. It was great hanging with you then, and I still have fun hanging wit you on saturday.
Ben Leow:Leon. What can I say? You are annoying. You drive me INSANE. But a good kind of insane. The kind of insane that makes me feel like I could handle anything.
Ryan:YANR! You also drive me insane with your crazy antics. But, you always make me laugh. Even when I'm totally out of it, you make me laugh till my stomach hurts...
I can't write anymore, my fingers hurt. Everyone else who I didn't mention: Know you are valued, treasured & loved!!! You all rock & rule!!!!!!!!!

Photos
I was just thinking back on this month and last year. I've noticed somthing very repetitive: I'm camera-shy.
I guess I've grown up in a culture where people turn away from the camera. Also, I -
basically all the time- look awful in photos. Maybe it's not that I look awful, it's just not that I'm not used to looking at myself. I mean, when was the last time you spent half your time infront of the mirror (a)blowing kisses at yourself (b)trying to fix you hair, checking your lipgloss or just looking in the mirror to diss your looks??? (b)? I thought so. And people who do (a), you really need counselling...
Or, the emo version of why I don't like photos is that: It does't show soul. I mean, when you smile and look at the camera does it show how you are with your friends? Does it tell you how much you love you mom and dad? No, you just see a picture of a person smiling at the camera. You just see a mask. True, you can see through the picture that that person is nice looking, cool or likes to smile. But it doesn't really SHOW the real person.

How 'bout turning your head TOWARDS the camera when it's pointed at you? I'll TRY, TRY mind you... Labels: Just Writing
Christmas Eve Special
Christmas Eve! Tomorrow is Christmas! Can you believe that the year has passed so fast? I'm 13, and all of a sudden I realized that there are a lot of things I'm happy I did this year. But, there are also things that I regret doing. This year has been a topsy-turvy one, and I think next year will be even more crazy...So, I have
that to look forward to!
One of the things I regret is not getting my friend to come to church. I'm tired of being rejected, so I feel like giving up. What's the point anymore? I know she'll just say no. And every single time I get my hopes up, just by a inch. And when I get the rejection I feel like banging my head against the wall for being so stupid and even trying to invite her.
Well, today my family had the usual family reunion thing. Lunch, and we showed the My Hope Singapore video. We didn't share or anything, but we showed the video. And that's what happened today.
Happy Holidays!

How do I title this?
Hello people. I was just reading the SuperLife blog. And when I read the recent post of 'Cheezels' I was jerked out of my happy mood. I suddenly felt confused and tired.
Why do we invite our friends to church
even though we know they'll day no? I asked myself that and the answer that would come to your mind immediatly is, 'I wanna save my friends.' Yes, but when you actually think about it. You don't know do you? You've been dragged so deep in your mind you're kind of lost. Am I right? I know you're now feeling kind of sad. I'm sorry to ruin your day. Or ruin your day even more. But ask yourself that...
Also, lately I've been finding that people like to preach at me. Like when I sms, msn or just talk people, they always have the perfect Christian answer for everthing. I find it annoying/it bugs me. Like, I
already know what the perfect Christian answer is, I've heard it a million times. But what is
your personal answer?

End of the year & music speaks
Can you believe it's almost the end of the year? It just flew by in such a hurry, I wasn't even able to notice it. How couldn't I notice the year was passing? It's already October! Just 2 more months! It almost seems impossible...Do you realize that music can speak? To some people it might just be a enjoyment. But to others it's a expression of love, hurt and other emotions. Last Sunday, I was in the atrium with Ryan, Small Ben & Kenneth. We were talking about something and I made the remark -kind of jokingly, I was quoting a movie- then before Kenneth could say anything. Small Ben agreed and looked totally serious. Only this past week I've thought about how music can speak to people. It really can. When was the last time you listened to a song on your MP3 and you played a song that reflected exactly how you feel? No seriously, consider it. That just happened a few day ago to me. Which led me to replay and ponder that scene at church. Going back to the reflection of music; I just flipped through my songs and chose one random. While I listened to it I realized it reflected exactly what I felt! I was shocked. Maybe when you listen to music it also reflects what's happening to you. It just depends if you like to think deep and get lost in thought that you realize and notice those kind of things...It's just so amazing. Music, I mean. It can be such a healing power, or a terrible one. *eyes get wide & giggles* I'm starting to sound like Chris Long! LOL! Sorry to ruin the moment and seriousness. But I do! I sound like Chris Long! I just love music and like to think deep, I can't get enough of it! What do you think of music? Is it just a thing in life? Or a real expression? Think about it...Amberlie-JLabels: Just Writing
Ever wonder why?
Ever wonder why you're not a millionaire? Why we don't have the ability to fly? Why we didn't win that contest? Ever wonder why? Did you ever think that maybe God didn't want that for us? Maybe we weren't supposed to fly like Superman, maybe walking is healthier. Don't you think? Maybe we shouldn't be millionaires, because all that money brings is worldy things. And that contest you wanted to win? Maybe to win a PSP? Maybe God wanted you to concentrate on your studies more and not be tempted by that PSP sitting on you desk. Ever think of that?Just because He doesn't want us to have things we want doesn't mean He doesn't want us to be happy. He always has a good reason for it. Wether bad or good, He always think of us. Even though we might think stuff doesn't work out, it's always what He planned...Labels: Just Writing
Ever think music could do that?
Music, many types. Rock, pop, heavy metal and so on...Ever think that just one song can change you? Without knowing it every time you listen to music your mood changes. Just an observation at my average dinner table. If my dad puts in a CD during dinner these things change with the song:If the song is fast, my bro starts eating (just a tiny bit) faster. My little sis will start talking faster, etc. Other observations from a sunday (the old ones, when everyone just hung-out during 2nd service):If it's a 'happy' song, everybodies talking and laughing, having a good time.If it's a 'slow/sad' song, everybody calmes down and you hear --------.If it's a Christian song, everybody either a. mouths the words or b. they all sing out loud or even c. silence.Pastor Vincent says that we shouldn't be emotional christians. But ever think thats impossible? Sure, sometimes we can do that. Just stick to God no matter what. There are still times that shake us so much we slip and drift out to sea right? Ok, imagine God is a bouy. All alone, far out to sea. We are drifting and then we see it. We grab hold, glad for the safety and comfort it brings us. Then a huge wave comes along and we lose grip and are pulled away. We are able to swim back, but we know there are bigger waves soon to come. One of those waves can pull you out only a little or it can also pull you out a lot. Music is that thing that makes our sea of emotions calm or crazy. Next time you listen to something, think about what you were doing before and see if there are any changes. Ever think music could do that?Labels: Just Writing
Just Writing...
I wanna change the world. But I know I can't, I'm just in the middle of nowhere... Just standing there, knowing there's nowhere to go so why try? But what if there is somewhere to go? What if someone is tryna find
me? Where do I go when there's nowhere to go at all?

Time...Do we have enough it?
Today I realised how much time we have, and how much we don't have. We only live once and I realised how much people waste their time with earthly stuff, money, stuff & position. Why do people waste time? I mean, why do people waste so much time on unimportant stuff when God is sitting there waiting to hear from them? Labels: Just Writing
